Due to popular demand, I’m sharing my simple and tasty bone broth recipe with you all as one of my very first blog posts! Whenever I share on my Instagram story that I’m making it, I get so many requests for the recipe—so this was a no brainer.
I’m a bone broth expert by association. We always had chickens growing up and ate homemade chicken noodle soup at least once a week made by my grandmother or mom.
Then, I married a chef who is beyond talented and passionate about food, how it’s made and where it comes from, who makes the most delicious, nutrient-dense broth. You can check him out at Naples Canning Co.
There will be a future blog where I share my husband’s super gelatinous bone broth recipe that takes 12-16 hours, but for now, I figured we’d start simple with an easy recipe that will still have you reaping all the amazing benefits as soon as possible!
Tip #1: If you don’t have a big enough pot, break down your chicken into smaller pieces.
Tip #2: There should always be enough water to cover the chicken and veggies (although they will be exposed at the top). Add water as needed throughout the process.
Once the cooking process is over, there are several things you can do depending on how you want to enjoy your broth. You can strain the contents, repurposing the chicken and use the broth for a yummy pho dish or drink your broth in a mug any time of day. Or you can also enjoy it the more traditional way—shred the chicken, cut the carrots, add some noodles and herbs.
However you choose to have it, I hope you enjoy this easy and nutritious recipe!
